On July 30, White Hen launched its That's Italian! line-up--a new Hot & Fresh Italian Sausage sandwich and an Italian-style Just Toss It salad. The Hot & Fresh Italian Sausage is oven-toasted, to-order, and features a spiced Italian sausage, spicy marinara, and melted provolone on a roll with choice of sweet roasted red peppers or hot giardenera. The taste "speaks for itself and should have incredible appeal in the Chicago marketplace," said White Hen Food Service Category Manager, Jay Hobson.

The JustTossIt! Italian Salad is specially packaged for even the pickiest salad eater. The topical ingredients: artichoke hearts, shaved Parmesan cheese, salami and pepperoni are separated in a plastic tray above the radicchio greens and cherry tomatoes below. All ingredients are ready for eating after mixing in the desired amount of Italian Vinaigrette. Both the salad and toasted sandwich are available at all participating White Hen locations for a limited time only.

Just Toss It!
White Hen's new Just Toss It! line of green salads is unique in that the
bed of lettuce is separated from the other ingredients-e.g., meat, cheese,
croutons--with a unique packaging system. The packaging keeps the high
moisture content ingredients separate from the bed of greens until the
moment the customer is ready to toss & eat their salad. Green salad
fanatics give high marks to the freshness, overall taste and quality of
these new salads. The Just Toss It! salad line includes: Asian Chicken,
Chef, Cobb, Caesar and Trail Mix. The Asian Salad with mandarin oranges,
chow mien noodles, sesame chicken and hot chili dressing is featured in the
Chicago Tribune and in-stores now.
